Neil Weisensel to Join Art Song Lab for 3-Day Residency


Vancouver, BC, MAY 14, 2015 - Art Song Lab (ASL) is excited to announce that Winnipeg-based composer Neil Weisensel will be part of a 3-day residency from June 3, 2015, through June 5, 2015. 


The event is supported by the SOCAN Foundation's Concert Music Composer Outreach Residencies program. The public will be able to enjoy free events during Weisensel’s 3-day residency, including a workshop on June 4, 2015, at 2:30pm, a community talk on June 3, 2015, at 2:30pm, and a Score Reading Club on June 5, 2015, that will be co-presented by the Canadian Music Centre and ASL. 


Weisensel will be in the audience during SongLaunch’s 12 world premieres from ASL 2015 on June 5, 2015, at Pyatt Hall. He will also be working with ASL participants via drop-in mentoring sessions, and Weisensel will also be in the audience during SongSparks on June 3 and 4.
