Mateo Quispe

Mateo Quispe (Red River Métis) is the current Auburn Poet Laureate and a recipient of an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship. The former Seattle Youth Poet Laureate, their term culminated in the publication of his first chapbook, Dear Spanish (Poetry Northwest) and the debut of their chamber opera, Blood Dawn of the Inti Sun.
